Pausing, changing, or skipping your contribution between pay cycles is easy!
Steps to Pause Your Contribution
1. Open the 401(play) mobile app
2. Navigate to:
4. Tap “Change Payroll Contribution”
5. On the “Your Contribution Amount” page:
7. Look for the confirmation message titled: “Contribution Updated”

How to Resume Contributions
You can restart contributions at any time:
1. Open the 401(play) mobile app
2. Navigate to:
- Tap “Funds” at the bottom, or
- From the Home screen, tap “My Account”
4. Tap “Change Payroll Contribution”
5. On the “Your Contribution Amount” page:
- Tap the “Custom Amount” field
- Enter "0.00"
7. Look for the confirmation message titled: “Contribution Updated”
What Happens When You Pause Contributions
- Your employer will be notified automatically through the Employer Portal, and
- No money will be deducted from your paycheck, and
- No funds will be added to your Vacation Funding Account (VFA)
How to Resume Contributions
You can restart contributions at any time:
- Follow the same steps above
- Enter a new contribution amount (from the presets or custom amount)
- Save your changes
